Prenatal Maternity Benefits Explained
A guide to your everyday maternity related benefits
Maternity Benefits on the Day-to-Day Plan
The Day-to-Day Plan has a number of primary health benefits that you can use during your pregnancy.
- The GP Visits benefit let you see a network doctor as often as you need to. Get a checkup to make sure everything is going to plan.
- The Acute Medication benefit has cover for prenatal medication and vitamins.
- The Radiology benefit covers two prenatal growth scans (one each in the 1st and 2nd trimesters).
- The Specialist benefit has limited cover for obstetrics and gynecology.
These are all covered as a standard part of the Day-to-Day Plan.
If you want to cover the birth of your child in a private hospital then you will need to include the Maternity benefit in the Hospital Plan.
